Founding Principles of
Hong Kong Academy

Hong Kong Academy's Founding Principles set forth the purposes for which the school was established. We believe that these principles will have a profound impact on the way people think and act; that they should guide each and every aspect of practice in our school community; and that by modeling them we all will become more informed, caring, and fulfilled members of an increasingly complex and interdependent world. The principles are intended to establish a framework for thought, discussion and action. We believe that they can be manifested in literally every aspect of our school life and that they provide a basis for constant reflection and self-evaluation in the process of continuous improvement.

to educate, motivate, and support each child to achieve her/his full potential academically, socially, and emotionally in accord with the child's individual abilities, intelligences, and learning styles.

to develop and teach an exemplary Mandarin program that is contextual, experiential and authentic.
